Location: South west, 2,5 hours from Windhoek

Area
This area can be seen as a open savanna and are semi-desert. It lies in the Kalahari
Desert and is 3 hours from Windhoek. The Kalahari is renowned for it open plains and
red sand dunes with Camel thorn acacia trees here and there,and its herds of
springbokand Oryx, which we have a lot of in this area. The hunting here is still done
on foot but the client is expected to be able to shoot at 150 -250 yards, because of the open terrain. We normally try and use the dunes as cover, but still you are caught
between dunes and then you should be able to shoot lying over the peak of the dune
to animals on the other side.

Game
This is home to the Steenbok, Springbok, Blesbok, Oryx, Ostrich, and Duiker. As
you would expect there are really big Oryx and Springbok in the area and a lot to choose from with almost 1000 springbok and 500 Oryx. You can be sure of getting a
unforgettable hunt. It is a excellent area for a first comer with a lot to offer.

Accommodations
The accommodation on the area is a permanent east African style tented camp with
all of the luxuries you would expect from a safari camp. The camp lies in between the
dunes on the area and gives you the feeling of the old traditional style safaris.

Activities
As you would know the bird shooting here is some of the best in Namibia and a client
can easily spend one or two days bird hunting. The birds that we will be shooting is
mainly sandgrouse and turtle doves. These are the best to shoot in the Kalahari.
