Bushman Land
Bushman land is an old reserve area where the traditional
San people are living. The
San people or Bushman as they are
also known is the oldest modern race of people
known to
mankind today. There are only a few of these San families
left that are still
living as they did many years ago. SMJ
Safaris would take the visitors to these peoples
villages in
order to visit them and experience there lifestyle.

A normal day with the village would include, arriving at the
village the afternoon around
lunch spending the afternoon
with the villagers performing there traditional dances and
games and just experiencing there life style. That evening
can be spend around a fire
seeing the Bushman doing their
trans dances which will include the Giraffe dance as well
as
the Elephant Dane if one is lucky you can experience one of
the healing dances.
The next morning is spend with the San hunters going out to
go and set traps for small
game and learning about making
fire with two sticks and all of the different plants that
has medical value to them. One must remember that this is a
life style to them and are
not a tourist attraction. You are
basically given the opportunity to see into there life
style.
